![]() If the infection is on a limb and you're close to losing the pawn just amputate the limb for guaranteed survival. ![]() If you're micromanaging a pawn you rarely, if ever, need to worry. Also make sure your medicine isn't reserved by another doctor so you don't accidentally treat without meds. The mistake most people make is leaving several shitty doctors available to treat them, which they will. ![]() Make sure that your best doctor is awake and ready to administer meds the instant treatment becomes available. The only trick, and this is supremely important, is that you pay attention. Using a level 20 doctor with glitterworld medicine and a legendary hospital bed with a vitals monitor etc will get you immunity at about 40 percent. I can give you rough estimates for numbers: a colonist between 20 and 45 (ages change how fast you develop immunity, 16-20 is slower slightly and 45+ has a hidden penalty to immunity gain speed, those ages might be different on 1.0, idk) in a hospital bed, in a clean room, being treated with regular medicine and with healthy kidneys will hit 100 percent immunity by the time the infection hits about 55-65 percent, typically depending on other injuries. So my question is: does anybody experience this thing? Is it a feature for the 1.0? If yes, I am hugely dissapointed because infections can happen even after a pawn has healed, or atleast on the dying stages of the wound. I have countless times spotted one by the "colonist needs treatment" but those things are almost instantly being taken care of in my colonies so I don't have much of a window to spot them. I've lost 5 pawns so far, due to the fact that NOBODY informed me about them. So the thing is, normaly in Rimworld you get a pop up for infections, right? I have yet to see one notification about an infection so far. The first was a naked brutality and the second the tribe one. So I started 2 seperate games in 1.0, both on permadeath. I don't know if anyone else has the same problem, but I am sure that nothing on my pc causes it. Since I signed up for the 1.0 I have discovered something that makes the game way less enjoyable. r/RimWorldStreams - For all of your videos and streams needs r/RimWorldTales - /u/srgrafo's Rimworld Comic Series r/RimworldSwap - Swap saves with other players r/ShitRimworldSays - /r/nocontext posts about /r/RimWorld r/RimworldArt - Posts about Rimworld Artwork (not fanart!) r/Rimreddit - Colonists playing only on a single planet r/RimWorldPorn - High Quality Images of Rimworld Colonies No discussing pirated versions of the game.
